The Intel® Chipset Identification Utility provides an
easy way to identify the specific Intel chipset that is located on
your motherboard. To run the Intel Chipset Identification Utility,
simply download the file and run it. The utility is a standalone
program with no installer package so it will not create any
shortcuts on the Start menu. The file can be left on your system if
desired or simply deleted after it is no longer required. The Intel
Chipset Identification Utility is approximately 124KB in size and
should easily fit on a floppy diskette, if desired.
If certain Intel chipset components are not detected by the Intel
Chipset Identification Utility, an update button will appear.
Clicking the update button will cause the utility to check Intel's
web site (if an Internet connection is detected) to determine if a
newer version is available.
Note: This utility will only identify your Intel chipset, not your
Intel® processor. To identify what type of Intel processor you have,
such as the Pentium® III processor, Pentium® 4 processor, or Intel®
Celeron® processor, download the Intel® Processor Frequency ID
Utility. |
